I dreamt about the things you said
last night rollin in my bed, tangled hair in your almond eyes
two flys caught in a web 
free fall from the acrobats net cigarette breathin in my ear
a trail of marks from my arm to my neck 
a screach in the street it broke my sleep
Layin broke, im back in bed
trumpets poundin in my head 
lipstick stains on my only clean shirt pushed out the door n I fell in the dirt

City’s a river I’m swept away, dragons breath with a debt to pay
runnin thru the pockets of my old fur coat
found some change n a crumpled up poem a ragin bull I cant be tamed
a hard livin man got nothin to say/ theres more to life than a foremans pay 
last drop in the bottle
on the walk of shame
